12 April 2010: Team Joyner USA has been replaced by a new company called "JMC" or Joyner Motor Company in America. TJ USA's original founder "John Burns Snr" who founded the company in 2003, joined forces with Iplex in April 2009 in an effort to improve products, sales and support. Iplex did improve the products but failed badly with customer support and after replacing John Burns Snr and other key management staff, they survived less than a year.  JMC has secured a few of the original TJ USA employees, including Casey Strebe, who has outstanding customer support skills. Their new website is   http://www.jmcmotors.us/
14 October: New safety standard for UTVs. Staff of the federal regulator of off-road vehicles in the USA have suggested last week that the agency start the process for creating a mandatory safety standard for “recreational” side-by-sides. The staff also noted that it had rejected a draft of a voluntary standard presented to it by an industry association.
This is good news indeed and will make UTVs even more safer and capable than Quads.
23 June: UTVs, Side x Sides, MUVs, RUVs or even a ROV, they are all the same type of vehicle. So what ever you like to call them, the breaking news here in NZ is that one of these vehicles has just been released for sale at over the $30,000 mark. Is this too much for UTV, Side x Side, etc....... ? Defiantly if it's only a Motor Bike engine pushing around something twice as heavy it was designed for and driving four wheels insteed of one and with only one piston insteed of two, three of four. All Joyner UTVs use Automotive Engines and Transmissions that are designed with it's powerplant in mind. If you want to compare another UTV with a Joyner UTV, I have all the specs here so just send me an email at  jmmapope@orcon.net.nz
28 April: A link page has been added to the website to help you find out more information about Joyner UTVs & Buggies. I have found these sites the most useful, however if you want to add a link, just send me an e-mail and if I think it's worthy, I'll include it.
16 April: The American Consumer Product Safety Commission has got an agreement from Yamaha Motor Corps US sales arm to suspend any further sales of the Yamaha Rhino 450, 660 & 700cc models after 46 driver and passenger deaths involving the Rhino. For the link click here.........
20 February 09: As of Tuesday, February 10th, 2009, the small powersports industry has all but been shut down in the USA. There is a waiver now setting before the Consumer Product Safety Commission in Washington DC, but has not been acted upon as of yet. The link is:
23 December 08:  This is a press release from the NZ Department of Labour title Dangerous times ahead. Vehicle accidents the main contributor to deaths on farms over the summer; Labour Dept says lack of safety gear also a factor. The Department of Labour says January is the deadliest month in workplaces.
Spokesman Craig Armitage says records show the highest number of fatalities occur in the the workplace in the summer months. He says 362 workplace deaths were investigated over six years prior to 2005.
Mr Armitage says in the farming sector in particular more than half of the deaths were related to different sorts of vehicles being used on farms, especially ATVs. He says human error, not following accepted procedures and a lack of personal protective equipment were among contributing factors.
Workers aged between 45 and 54 are most at risk and most work-related fatal accidents occur late in the morning and mid-afternoon.
18 November 08: The NZ Dollar hit a low 0.5412 against the US Dollar yesterday and as a result, all future imports will be subjected to a price increase. The base price will remain the same on this website with a approximate price adjustment next to it. All current stock is unaffected.
11 November 08: All Joyner UTVs feature in this months issue of Side X Side Magazine. The Commando 2 & 4 seaters, Renegade 2 & 4 seaters and the Trooper 2 & 4 seaters all have a mention. Plus a Joyner Renegade R2 goes head to head with a John Deere Gator. It was a Side X Side article about a UTV Buyer's Guide that included 50 different UTV vehicles from 19 manufacturers. From all the competition this is what they said about the Joyner Trooper T2.  "The Trooper is the ultimate sport UTV on the market today. Its 86hp, 4-cylinder EFI engine and top speed of 65 MPH pushes this UTV above, over and beyond the most unbelievable terrain known to man. The larger (98") wheelbase is matched with a swing-arm suspension to provide a higher level of stability and comfort. The 13" ground clearance and 12" travel makes the Trooper T2 a true force to be reckoned with!" The link for the mag is  http://www.sidexsideaction.com/digital19/  and you may have to give Side X Side some information such as your e-mail address before it will load.
11 July 08: A Joyner makes the cover story in the Side x Side Magazine. For a free download of this issue click SidexSide Joyner UTV article. This is a Digital Edition & you flip the page over by clicking the bottom right to go forward or left to go back.
22 May 08: The Troopers are now all sold out, however I have a demo if you want to test drive one. We have decided to carry over the $2000.00 FREE UPGRADE for customers that pre-order & secure a T2 with a 10% deposit only. The upgrade is as stated below: 27" Mud Track Tires with 14" wheels, a Safari Back Rack with a spare tire mount. Sports light bar and spot lights.
19 May 08: A Trooper T2 4x4 had it's first outing in NZ conditions yesterday at Extreme 4WD Adventure Park near Helensville. The day was organized by a group of like minded friends that had grown up together riding motorbikes then on to Quads and are now progressing onto UTVs. There was a Kawasaki TERYX, Polaris Ranger RZR and the Joyner Trooper T2 lined up for anyone to choose from. Unfortunately we were all having too much fun making our own tracks and none of them went head to head, however it was easy to see that all 3 had strengths and weaknesses. The Trooper tackled every difficult task thrown at it including, dropping down a steep 7 foot bank into a dry but muddy creek bed and up a steep 6 foot rise on the other side. I turned the T2 around and came back over my old tracks(now very slippery) and completed what I would consider near impossible. The TERYX & RZR didn't try the same manoeuvre. Just to balance it out a bit, the T2 did get hung up on a sharp drop off that the TERYX and the RZR flew over, but it drove off on it's own accord after the diff lockers were applied. The wheel base is a lot longer than the other two which has got pluses & minuses. Now I know what the T2 is capable of, my advise is, if you are in the market for a utv, test drive 3 or 4 different models first and you owe it to yourself to include a T2. At the end of the day UTVs are pleasure machines and no matter what brand you go with as long as you match up your terrain & your driving style, you are going to have a blast. Photos have been added to the test photo page
